Teach a doc to treat…

In 2016, there were only three neurologists in Zambia–all foreigners. One of them, Dr. Omar Siddiqi, made a plan to bring two medical educators to Zambia for two years to train new medical school graduates in this critically important specialty.  

With a high disease load from HIV and low health literacy, this project had the potential to save many thousands of lives.  We created a marketing package to raise the necessary funds to start training local physicians.  Now Zambians can be seen by Zambian neurologists who speak their languages, know their cultures, and have the shared pride of… “One Zambia–One Nation!”
