Commercial fishermen, conservationists, and ocean researchers are typically at odds. Environmentalists and fishermen in particular often find their interests mutually exclusive.
Blue Ocean Gear’s satellite-connected buoys actually align the interests of all three groups, making the biosphere healthier and more sustainable while increasing economic production.
But they found this message too complex to convey elegantly, and hired us to show them how to address their communications challenges through the power of story. In one day, we trained the Blue Ocean Gear team to use Impact Storytelling to convey their powerful, complex message to the market. Two days later, they used these techniques at a trade show with fishermen in the Pacific Northwest to great success.
