“Rustle & Spark was very thorough and highly collaborative. We needed to be challenged and asked hard questions to identify the way forward. They did that as well as anyone I’ve worked with, and we love the end result! It hit the nail on the head and sets the stage for our next 25 years.”
- Anne Broholm, CEO
Pivot like a butterfly
In 1995, ahead shook up the world of golf with an approach to decoration, headwear, and apparel that was bold, brash, and totally new.
Over the next 25 years, they built a reputation for operational excellence, being able to deliver the impossible on any timeline. But when you’re a trusted industry powerhouse, brash doesn’t play as well. In other words, it’s hard to be anti-establishment when you are the establishment.
Like a caterpillar in a chrysalis, transforming this brand would require deconstructing it and building back up from scratch.
After interviewing several firms, they selected Rustle & Spark to lead their team through a comprehensive rebrand. The process was inclusive, collaborative, and authentic, and led them to a stronger sense of who they really are, and how powerful and versatile their identity is.
To better communicate this well-earned confidence, we designed a new logo and visual system, along with a comprehensive guide to making the brand come alive in every environment. They then asked us to design new catalogues, hang-tags, and other essential collateral for their brand rollout, including custom photography and copywriting.
The result was a hole-in-one, generating rave reviews throughout the industry and sparking an ongoing relationship that continues to this day.

“Our hats look better co-branded with the new Ahead logo.”
