Overview

The COVID-19 epidemic exacerbated a decades-long decline in workplace philanthropy—a key source of funds for the United Way of RI. They hired Rustle & Spark to create videos illustrating the impact, importance, and accessibility of this program to inspire new donors.

For almost 100 years, the United Way of Rhode Island has helped thousands of Rhode Islanders with a staggering array of challenges.

Food and housing insecurity, after-school programs, summer camps, mental health support, eldercare…the list is long and varied. They’re able to do wthi work because of the generosity of Rhode Islanders reaching out to help their neighbors.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 and a long-term decline in workplace giving—deducting part of one’s paycheck for charity—combined to reduce this key source of revenue.

The United Way of Rhode Island didn’t want another same-old-same-old talking head video, so we cooked up several concepts, then produced their second-favorite—because they want to use #1 for something even bigger!
