Settling by the sea

One day our lawyer called with a problem—one of his clients, an independent real estate company, was being sued over their name. Based on the facts of the case, he felt they had a less-than-slim chance of prevailing in court, and should just change the name.

In under two weeks, we came up with hundreds of options, whittled those down to the best ones, and walked the client through the process of evaluating them and choosing their favorite.

And to ensure they didn’t have to repeat the painful legal process they’d just endured, we pre-screened every finalist for trademark availability—as always.
